« Super location In no particular order - we visited the area to cycle & the location is super. Quiet surroundings. Very clean WC & shower facilities. Reception/customer services outstanding. The swimming pool & sun terracing are 5 star. Restaurant good - that's food & staff. Overall we had a very good experience. »

« Rustige tijd begin september, verbleven met onze tent op de camping. Jammer dat wandelingen vanaf de canping minimaal zijn, door afgesloten deel achter de camping bij de paarden dmv schrikdraad. Fietsen hebben we gedaan langs Canal du Midi, erg leuk. Sanitair was goed, schoon en warme douches. »

« The food in the restaurant was very bad. The mussels and the duck breast skewer were cold, as were the vegetables. The only thing warm was the potatoes. Both dishes had identical side dishes that were impossible to choose from. »

« L’endroit est magnifique – la campagne, les vues, et les installations sont également de bonne qualité. Le personnel est très sympathique et serviable. Nous avons séjourné dans un lodge et ils sont très BASIQUES, la plupart des équipements sont de très mauvaise qualité, les assiettes sont petites, le grille-pain est bon marché. La plupart des locations incluent un petit pack de bienvenue avec du café, du thé, du lait, un chiffon de nettoyage, un torchon, quelques rouleaux de papier toilette, etc. Mais ici, tout ce qui était inclus était une boîte d’allumettes (on ne sait pas vraiment à quoi cela devait servir), un rouleau de papier toilette et un filtre à café. Il n’y avait ni huile de cuisson, ni sel, ni poivre, ni liquide vaisselle, ni pastilles pour lave-vaisselle, ni sacs poubelle, ni savon – des produits de première nécessité. Quelqu’un venant de l’étranger devrait faire toutes ses courses rien que pour commencer. La plupart des gîtes fournissent cela, et ici cela paraît vraiment radin. Le ménage est aussi laissé aux clients dans une certaine mesure, et les toilettes empestaient, comme des toilettes publiques. On nous a demandé de nettoyer la propriété avant de partir, mais aucun produit de nettoyage n’était fourni. Les murs sont nus et cela ne donne aucune impression de confort. C’est dommage, car cela a rendu notre séjour très décevant. The location is stunning - the countryside and views and the facilities are good too. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a lodge and they are very BASIC, most of the equipment is very cheap, the plates are small, the toaster is cheap. Most rentals included a basic welcome pack of coffee, tea, milk, cleaning cloth, tea towel, some toilet rolls etc. But all that was included was one box of matches (not actually sure what this was to be used for), 1 toilet roll and 1 coffee filter. There is no cooking oil, salt, pepper, , washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, bin bags, soap - real essentials. Someone flying over from abroad would have to do a whole shop just to get started. Most gites supply this, and it feels very stingy. The cleaning is also left to the customers to a certain extent and the toilet stank, like a public toilet. We were asked to clean the property before leaving but were not supplied with any cleaning products. The walls are bare and it feels very unhomely. It's a shame as it made our stay feel very disappointing. »

« Booked for six nights mid August with our 14 year old son. We got lucky as we had a relatively flat pitch but there’s quite a few that are really quite sloped. I felt the whole place was centred on the pool area which is fine of you have good weather, and overall this area was fine although some of the terracing area could do with some maintenance as some of the facades on the pool area had become unstuck and were flapping about. Unfortunately at the mid point of our stay, the weather turned (which is obviously no fault of the campsite) but there really wasn’t much else to do. Whilst we like the rural-ness of France, there’s nothing within walking distance so you’re pretty limited to what the campsite has to offer and unless you have young children, the entertainment seems to be centred on those. And aside from the pool and pool bar, everything shuts down from late morning to early evening. The site is very hilly, and everything just seems a decent trek away ie if you need the toilet at the pool, there’s one toilet by the pool entrance. The showers are push button type (which I personally don’t like) and in our five nights we never saw one person cleaning them although. There’s also far too many sinks and for the whole site, only two main blocks. Also, the games room is four table football games in a soulless room and there are three table tennis tables in a dimly lit area. We also got battered by mosquitoes! Appreciate I’ve painted a bit of a negative picture. There were positives - it’s really quiet, the pool area, overall is really nice and the staff were all polite. The views across the valley are stunning. But it just lacked any degree of energy or character for us, it was a trek to get anywhere and you’re just too remote IMO. Having frequented quite a few Sandaya and Les Castels five star sites across France, I’m quite surprised this manages to get five stars. We ventured into Carcassone for the day the market was on, but be aware that it’s literally around a dozen stalls selling fruit and veg. The town itself is really nice though. We went on the two hour Canal du Midi boat trip which was decent value at €11 each but it literally took you through an inner city canal (not overly picturesque), stopped at a place after about 15mins which charged me around €12 for a very small beer and two cans of drink and then took us through two locks. Again, not the campsites fault but kinda capped off a bit of a disappointing stay. »

« Voor wat we gewend zijn, was het een grote camping. Je kunt meedoen aan vele leuke activiteiten en als je dit niet wilt, merk je weinig van bijvoorbeeld muziek of optredens. Hele mooie zwembaden, prachtige omgeving! Aardig behulpzaam personeel. We vonden het achteraf jammer dat we geen cottage met airco hadden gekozen. »

« Onze verwachtingen waren hoog maar wij zijn uiteindelijk teleurgesteld een dag eerder vertrokken. Positief: Het zwembad is ronduit heerlijk. Het restaurant en het winkeltje prima. Echter onze kampeerplaats en de sanitaire voorzieningen passen op geen enkele wijze bij een 4/5 sterren camping. Veld waar wij stonden was sfeerloos en zonder enige beschutting van bomen. Niets. Toen we aankwamen lagen er honden drollen. Het voelde als een vergeten deel van de camping. Het sanitair gebouw was netjes en mooi van opzet maar uit de douches kwam enkel warm water. Er was geen mogelijkheid om zelf te kiezen. Niet qua hoeveelheid en niet qua temperatuur. We hebben tot twee keer toe gevraagd om te verplaatsen want er waren wel degelijk plekken met schaduw en wat meer sfeer maar het was te druk. Begrijpelijk in het hoogseizoen maar we waren zelfs bereid om dagelijks te wisselen. In de avond was er wel vermaak van een bandje. Al met al helaas geen hele fijne ervaring. »
